BLM Mural
Asked by the Arts Alliance of St.Pete and facilitated by the SHINE Fest Mural office all 16 artists created this mural to show their support and fight for the BLM movement.
All the artists had only 8 hours to make this happen and had the creative expression to tell any story they wanted inside of the letter they were assigned. It was made for the community, and unveiled on Juneteenth.
As an advocate for women, all the strength they endure, and all the battles they have fought it was important for Melanie to relay that message to all of the beautiful black women who were fighting, advocating, hurting, empowered, inspiring, and making their voices heard not only during that time but always.
